Tautology of the Day

Here you go:

Not a banner, certainly.

This is not, in fact, a banner ad.

Benefit: You can close it.

Drawback: You cannot just ignore it.

Man, did they think we would be curious enough to click it to find out what was so important that it couldn't be advertised in a banner ad? Criminey, I used to think that pop-up marketers were the dregs of the advertising industry. But they're not even dregs. They're actually mud that some prankster put into the bottom of your cup.
